debakeyThe DeBakey Institute and VTPP are driving forward with the creation of the DeBakey Executive Research Leadership Program.  The program trains junior faculty, postdocs and doctoral students to successfully lead a multifaceted high-end research operation, conveying critical skills to lead, manage and direct high-achieving students and staff at all levels.  Participation is limited so to join our inaugural cohort this spring, visit http://aggieresearch.tamu.edu/research-leadership

The Aggie research program (ARP) and Biomedical Research Certificate (BRC) continue to expand and amaze.  The BRC and ARP have produced a paradigm shift at Texas A&M University and has captured first generation students and students traditionally difficult to engage in research. Congratulations Dr. Quick, Dr. Lyons and the entire program.

Don’t forget the upcoming CVM Teaching Showcase.  The theme this year is “Turning Your Teaching into Scholarship”.  The event will be held December 16, 2019 in VENI 106A, from 11:30 AM-5:00 PM.  The keynote will be presented by Melinda Rhodes-DiSalvo, Ph.D, Associate Director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning at the Ohio State University.  It is always an intriguing ad informative event, and I hope you will join Dr. Fajt and I at the Showcase.
