Dr. Luke Lyons and VTPP launched the Inaugural Biomedical Research Forum with great success.  The Biomedical Research Forum was held November 14. The event was a massive success, with 100+ registrants and attendees.  The first of these events and all congratulations to Dr. Lyons and his students.

This past month, it was not only at the Inaugural Biomedical Research Forum where BRC students excelled.  There was also the first foray into the first Friday event in Bryan.  Dr. Lyons and the studentd were vtalking with locals on thhatchilly evening about cardiovascualr health.  It was such a success fory that pkans are in motion for a similar event around mucsolskeeltal health, reproductive phsyiology and even cardio vascualr and bone health in space.  Student interst is high as was the engagement with the local Bryan community

More great news from the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center.  Dr. Blue-McLendon and the Center are now the proud carers of two kangaroos!  Seems entirely appropiate for a Department with an Australian Depertment Head!  Make time to head out there and see them first hand
